In 2022 while looking for a run challenge, and still too young to enter races, Nathan began a Run Streak – the practice of running at least one mile (1.61 kilometres) every day, without fail.
He started on February 1st, 2022. His goal – to run at least 2km every day for the whole month. Encouraged by a friend and Ultra running legend Erin Vaughan, he completed February and set his sights further – determined to complete 365 days and get his name on official Streak Runners International, Inc. register.
“Through weather, injury, illness, and life events, we run everyday.”
Now he has #RunEveryDay for over 1300 days (more than three years), and shows no signs of stopping!

To celebrate his four year Run Streak milestone, Nathan would like to set a challenge to other New Zealand runners of all ages and abilities, to run at least 1 mile (1.61 kilometres) every single day of February 2026.
